Gurgaon: A man was injured after the car he was driving crashed into a divider at Dhanwapur flyover on Dwarka Expressway on Wednesday night.The accident occurred around 9pm when the vehicle was travelling from Delhi towards Gurgaon. Police said the car veered off course near the flyover and hit the divider.Passers-by pulled the injured driver out of the vehicle and took him to a nearby hospital, where he is undergoing treatment.An emergency response vehicle team reached the spot after receiving information, but the driver had already been shifted to the hospital.Police said the identity of the driver is yet to be established, and no complaint has been received so far. CCTV footage from the area is being examined to ascertain the sequence of events. The damaged car was later removed from the road.In another incident, a case was registered following a complaint by a passenger injured in a head-on collision between two cars on NH8 near an HP petrol pump.Police said the accident took place around 9pm on April 1 when Anu Narwal, a resident of Sonipat, was travelling in a Hyundai Aura, driven by his friend Kapil, from Elan Mall in Sector 80 towards Manesar. A car coming from a service road, allegedly at high speed, collided head-on with their vehicle, injuring Narwal.He was initially taken to a hospital in Rampura Chowk and later shifted to a hospital in Rohtak.Police said both drivers had initially declined legal action on the night of the accident. After Narwal was traced and his statement recorded, a case was registered on April 8 at Kherki Daula police station under sections 281 (rash driving), 125(a) (act endangering life) and 324(4) (mischief) of the BNS.Police said further investigation is underway to establish the sequence of events and determine liability in the crash.
