Ahmedabad: Approximately 30,000 students from across the state have registered to appear for supplementary exams, announced the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) on Thursday.According to the official notification released by the board, the schedule for practical exams of major subjects — chemistry, physics and biology — has been finalised. It will be conducted from June 19 to June 22 at designated centres in various districts of Gujarat.The board has instructed all school principals, parents and students to take note of the announced schedule and make necessary preparations accordingly. To ensure the smooth and fair conduct of the practical exams, all administrative arrangements have been completed at the board level.As per the plan, practical exams will be held at district-level centres specified by the board, and external examiners will be appointed to supervise the process. This measure aims to prevent any irregularities and maintain transparency in the evaluation system. Additionally, arrangements have been made to ensure that marks are submitted to the board on the same day of the exam.Earlier, the board scheduled the theory supplementary exams from June 11 to June 17. Following the completion of the theory exams, the practical exams will be conducted within the stipulated dates.The supplementary exams provide an opportunity for students who were unable to clear one or more subjects in the main board exams or those seeking to improve their performance. With a large number of students participating this year, the board’s structured planning is expected to facilitate a smooth exam process across the state.
