Aryan Khan is finally stepping into the world of filmmaking with his much-talked-about directorial debut ‘Ba**ds of Bollywood’. To mark the beginning of this new journey, the makers hosted an elaborate preview event where none other than Shah Rukh Khan himself turned up in full support of his son.The superstar, however, arrived with his arm in a sling — instantly sparking curiosity among those present. Never one to miss a chance at humour, SRK addressed it with his signature charm. He told the media, “Aap log journalist hain toh aapke dil mein bahut saare sawal uth rahe honge, toh main pehle hi jawab de deta hoon. Mere haath ko kya hua hai — toh mere shoulder mein chot lag gayi thi, chhoti si surgery hui, actually thodi badi thi. Recovery mein mujhe 1-2 mahine lagenge. Lekin National Award uthane ke liye mera ek hi haath kaafi hai. Actually, zyada tar cheezein main ek haath se kar leta hoon, par bas ek cheez mein dusre haath ki kami mehsoos hoti hai — aap sabka pyaar batorne mein.”For those not in the know, Shah Rukh won his first ever National Award in 33 years. This one was for ‘Jawan’ at the 71st National Awards which were announced recently. Fans were elalated and so was the actor. He shared his award with Vikrant Massey who won it for ’12th Fail’. His lighthearted remark comes at a time when reports have confirmed that the filming of SRK’s upcoming action-thriller King has been temporarily stalled. According to Mid-Day, the actor injured his shoulder while performing a stunt, leading the team to pause production until he is fit to return to set.Meanwhile, Aryan Khan, who has chosen to pursue direction instead of acting like his father and sister Suhana Khan, has been shaping this project for over a year. He not only serves as the creator and director but is also collaborating with co-writers Bilal Siddiqi and Manav Chauhan. Backed by Red Chillies Entertainment, the show explores the vibrant and chaotic universe of strivers, hustlers, and dreamers trying to find their place in Bollywood. The ensemble cast includes Bobby Deol, Lakshya, Sahher Bambba, Manoj Pahwa, Mona Singh, Manish Chaudhari, Raghav Juyal, Anya Singh, Vijayant Kohli, and Gautami Kapoor, all set to bring Aryan’s vision to life.
