The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) will close the registration window for Class 6 admission through the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) today, August 27, 2025. Eligible students who have not yet applied can complete the application process by visiting the official website – cbseitms.rcil.gov.in or navodaya.gov.in.The JNVST is being held for admission to Class 6 in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) for the academic session 2026–27. The selection test will be conducted in two phases – Phase 1 is scheduled for December 13, 2025, and Phase 2 for April 11, 2026. Both exams will begin at 11:30 am.Eligibility criteria for applicantsStudents applying for admission must be born between May 1, 2014, and July 31, 2016 (both dates inclusive). Other eligibility conditions are provided in the official prospectus available on the admission portal.Exam pattern and scheduleThe JNVST will consist of 80 multiple-choice questions carrying a total of 100 marks. The exam will be conducted in two separate phases:• Phase 1: December 13, 2025 (11:30 am)• Phase 2: April 11, 2026 (11:30 am)The results are expected to be declared in March 2026 for summer-bound JNVs and in May 2026 for winter-bound JNVs.
