Delhi school EWS admissions 2026 result: The Directorate of Education, Government of NCT of Delhi, has announced the results of the first computerised draw of lots for admissions under the EWS, DG and CWSN categories for the academic session 2026–27. The draw was conducted at 10:00 AM, initiating the admission process in private unaided recognised schools.Following the declaration, authorities have issued detailed guidelines to streamline document verification and ensure admission of all successful candidates. Selected applicants will receive SMS notifications on their registered mobile numbers, providing details of verification centres and schedules.Document scrutiny to be conducted by zonal teamsA total of 29 zonal teams have been constituted under the supervision of District Deputy Directors of Education across 15 districts. Each team comprises the respective zonal DDE, a section officer or equivalent official, and two data entry operators. These teams have been trained on provisions of the RTE Act and the document verification process.Scrutiny will be based strictly on details submitted in the online application forms and uploaded documents. A dedicated helpdesk and single-window system will be set up at district offices to facilitate verification.Mandatory documents and eligibility checks Applicants were required to upload proof of date of birth, income certificate or BPL/AAY ration card for EWS, caste certificate for DG, disability certificate for CWSN, and residence proof as per prescribed norms. Income eligibility is capped at less than Rs. 5 lakh annually.Residence proof is limited to specific documents, including ration card, domicile certificate, voter identity card, utility bills or passport. Document verification by zonal authorities will take place from April 9 to April 22, 2026. Candidates who fail to report will be given a final opportunity between April 23 and April 28, 2026.
