Virat Kohli’s commitment to fitness has long been considered a benchmark in world cricket, and at 36, the former India captain continues to exhibit discipline and dedication both on and off the field. Former India opener Virender Sehwag lauded Kohli for transforming the way cricketers approach fitness. Speaking on The Life Savers Show with Neha Bedi, Sehwag said, “Hats off to Virat Kohli for starting the trend of fitness in World Cricket. He brings the fitness culture to Indian cricket. He’s the fittest Cricketer of this Era. Now, because of Virat Kohli, every young cricketer wants to be fit.” Kohli’s training regime remains a source of inspiration for fans and teammates alike. Recently, his workout images from London went viral on social media, with many praising his intensity during practice sessions at Lord’s Cricket Ground. The batter was also seen interacting with supporters after training.
Away from the nets, Kohli has been spending time in the UK with wife Anushka Sharma. The couple’s casual outings have drawn admiration from fans, who highlighted their grounded lifestyle despite their widespread fame. Kohli, however, has kept fitness central to his routine, even sharing glimpses of a training session with Gujarat Titans’ assistant coach Naeem Amin. Meanwhile, speculation about farewell games for Kohli and Rohit Sharma was firmly put to rest by BCCI vice president Rajeev Shukla. “They haven’t retired, haven’t they? Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are both playing One-Dayers. They haven’t taken retirement, so why are you talking and worrying about their farewell? Retirement from two formats, that’s the phases, but they are still playing ODIs,” Shukla clarified in a viral video.
