Amritsar: Counter Intelligence, Amritsar, apprehended a man with 9kg heroin, DGP Gaurav Yadav informed here on Monday.He said the preliminary investigation revealed that the accused was in contact with a Pakistan-based smuggler and acted on the instructions of handlers across the border for further distribution of the contraband in Punjab.Yadav said an FIR was registered under the NDPS Act at the State Special Operation Cell police station in Amritsar, adding that further investigation was underway to dismantle the drug smuggling network and more arrests were likely in the case.
